令和7年度（第107回）東京香川県人会総会！！盛大に開催 Reiwa 7th Year (107th) Tokyo Kagawa Prefecture Residents Association General Meeting!! Held grandly

2025年11月7日（日）雨、第107回東京香川県人会総会（会長松平頼武氏）が、12時より、総勢260名余の参加の下、次の会次第に基づき、東京プリンスホテル（2階「鳳凰の間」）で盛大に開催される。

On Sunday, November 7, 2025, rain, the 107th Tokyo Kagawa Prefecture Association General Meeting (President: Yoritake Matsudaira) will be held grandly from 12:00 PM at the Tokyo Prince Hotel (2nd floor, ‘Hōō Room’), with over 260 participants, based on the following agenda.

この総会には20年位前から、コンサートや同郷の仲間との旧交を温めることを軸に毎年参加させて頂いている。今回は、司会、コンサートの役者が共に、偶然にも我が母校高松一高のメンバーであったので、感動も一入であった。あっという間に楽しい2時間半が過ぎ去る。来年も元気であれば参加したいものだ。

I have been attending this general meeting every year for about 20 years, mainly to enjoy concerts and to reconnect with friends from my hometown. This time, both the host and the performers of the concert were, coincidentally, members of my alma mater, Takamatsu First High School, which made it even more moving. The fun two and a half hours passed in the blink of an eye. I hope to participate again next year if I am in good health.

我が故郷香川は、日本一面積が狭い県だが、かつては学力日本一の県であった。歌舞伎が行われる琴平があるし、瀬戸大橋界隈をはじめ風光明媚な海岸線が随所にある。また、気候も温暖で住みやすいし、災害も比較的に少ない。加えて、うどん県として全国に認知されているし、てんびら・醤油豆・酒も旨い。それから、四国八十八ヵ所霊場のうち、香川には67番札所から88番札所まで22札所がある。このうち、総本山の善通寺がある。そういう意味で、我がふるさとは素晴らしい。今日もお忙しい中、国民民主党代表玉木雄一郎先生が、本会場に駆けつけて頂き花を添えて頂いた。感謝で一杯となった。

My hometown Kagawa is the smallest prefecture in Japan in terms of area, but it was once the top prefecture in academic achievement. It has Kotohira, where kabuki is performed, and scenic coastlines can be found everywhere, starting from the area around the Seto Ohashi Bridge. Additionally, the climate is mild and comfortable to live in, and disasters are relatively rare. Furthermore, Kagawa is nationally recognized as the ‘Udon Prefecture,’ and its tenbira, soybeans in soy sauce, and sake are also delicious. Also, among the 88 temples of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, Kagawa has 22 temples, from the 67th to the 88th. Among these is Zentsuji, the head temple. In that sense, my hometown is wonderful. Even today, despite being busy, Mr. Yuichiro Tamaki, the leader of the Democratic Party for the People, came to the main venue and added a special touch. I am filled with gratitude.

楽しい懇親会を終え、沢山のお土産を貰い自宅到着は17時頃だった。関係各位にこの場をお借りして熱く厚く御礼申し上げます。

After finishing the enjoyable social gathering and receiving many souvenirs, I arrived home around 5 PM. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved.
